Special Needs

We welcome all children to Sunflowers, respecting their differences and their specific needs.  At the nursery we will endeavour to provide for their special educational needs wherever possible. 

We follow the framework set out by the 'Special Educational Needs Code of Practice', its purpose is to develop effective nursery based support, helping to build partnerships between parents, the nursery and other professional bodies where necessary.

A member of staff has been trained and has qualified as a 'Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator' or SENCO for short!  Her role is to provide guidance to staff members regarding issues of care and stimulation for a child with Special Educational Needs.  She has many skills for this role and is fully supported by the Owners and Management at Sunflowers.

 

The children are looking forward to the Chinese New Year, the children will be walking to the local Chinese restaurant so that the children may sample different chinese cuisine and see the celebrations.

We have limited childcare available, come and look around Sunflowers Nursery and reserve a place, secure in the knowledge that your child will be happy, cared for and safe.
